Polar Bear Shoot

Back by popular demand, the Club will once more have a Polar Bear league shoot starting Saturday, January 14th. The last Polar Bear league shoot was truly a Polar Bear shoot. Just over half the shoot dates were with snow on the ground and temperatures under 20 degrees. We all had a blast with either breakfasts or lunch included.

A signup sheet is on the bulletin board. Here’s the format of this year’s shoot being run by Bob Dodge:

• Six Saturday mornings starting 01/14/17 and ending 02/18/17.
• Two rounds, one 16 yard and one 19 yard handicap. (Two traps will be open to speed the shoot)
• Shoot cost is $15 which includes Lewis and food.
• Shoot time is 10 AM. (Come early for a practice round)
• Lewis payout each Saturday.
• Extra Lewis payout the end of week six AND must shoot all six weeks to qualify for the extra payout.
• Either a breakfast or lunch will be included to be announced the week of the shoot.
• There will be no make ups nor will there be shoot a-heads to assure all shooters are shooting under the same conditions.
• Non-members are welcome so bring a friend.
• Weather will not be an issue. Only a snow out or rain will cancel the shoot with prior notice provided.
